Absolut Sensing is a rapidly growing company with ambitions beyond this first mission. During this internship, you can expect to quickly gain knowledge in Earth Observation data visualization and expand your skillset in modern web development and UI/UX implementation.

Your work will add value to the user experience of our monitoring platform, directly helping our clients visualize their impact.

We are looking for a Front-End Software Development intern for a period of six months. As an intern, you will work in contact with multiple teams: the Data Processing Center team, the product team, and backend developers.

The main tasks that we propose are:

• Familiarize with state-of-the-art web development techniques (Modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem) and best practices.
• Familiarize with geospatial visualization libraries (MapLibre, Deck.gl) to display satellite imagery on the web.
• Develop the web interfaces that will be used by clients to access methane concentration maps and by internal operators to monitor the system.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs (OpenAPI) into the user interface.
• Participate in the design reviews to ensure the platform is intuitive and responsive.

The perimeter of work can adapt to your specific competences and interests.

Profile

Student currently doing a MSc (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or similar discipline.

Skills

What technical skills we would like you to have:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Interest or experience with modern Front-End frameworks (React, Radix, …).
• Interest or experience in Data Visualization or GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
• Understanding of code versioning tools (Git).

In addition to that, you should have full working proficiency in either French or English.
